NEWS RELATE; Italian giants still pondering Sunderland move after exit talks go cold.

An Italian club could still swoop in for this Sunderland player in August.

Sunderland look set for a busy August as they gear up for the start of the new season, and the final month of the transfer window.

So far this summer, the Black Cats have only signed three new players, after Ian Poveda joined Sunderland last week.

Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman has plenty of work to do, and right now his focus may be on player recruits with Sunderland keen to sign Alexandre Mendy from Caen.

Elsewhere, potential player exits will continue to burden Sunderland, who have so far remained firm on their valuation of players.

Loan exits may also come onto the agenda with Kilmarnock interested in Oliver Bainbridge, but most of the talk will be about any potential big-money moves away from the Stadium of Light this summer.

Jack Clarke, Trai Hume, Anthony Patterson, Dan Neil, Dan Ballard, and Jobe Bellingham have all been linked with transfer exits at one point or another this summer.

Lazio still considering Jobe Bellingham move at Sunderland

Bellingham, 18, is a man in demand following his breakthrough season with Sunderland last time round, featuring in all but one of the Black Cats’ 46 Championship games, scoring seven.

Crystal Palace are interested in Bellingham but it appears as though the Eagles are unwilling to move towards Sunderland’s £20million valuation of the midfielder.

Jobe Bellingham is playing for Sunderland in the Sky Bet Championship match against Millwall at the Stadium Of Light in Sunderland, on April 20, 2024.

As well, Lazio have had an interest in Bellingham throughout 2024, and the Italian giants have retained their interest.

An emerging report from Italian outlet radiosei has claimed that Bellingham remains an option for the Serie A club, who have other names such as James Rodriguez on their radar.
