Stoke City have announced their squad numbers for the 2024/25 season and there are a couple of eye-catching vacancies

Bae Junho is Stoke City’s new number 10 – and there is an eye-catching vacancy next to him at number 9.

Stoke have confirmed their new squad numbers for the 2024/25 season and player of the year Junho is the biggest mover, with his old 22 shirt going to Junior Tchamadeu. They are the only two players on the books from last season who will move pegs this time around.

Summer arrivals Viktor Johansson, Eric Bocat and Ben Gibson will wear numbers one, 17 and 23 shirts respectively, as they have worn in the pre-season friendlies to date. Sol Sidibe is number 30, Jaden Dixon is 41 and Emre Tezgel is 37.

There is also a vacancy at number 11 following the mid-season exit of Dwight Gayle. Tyrese Campbell wore 10 in 2023/24 and it was Jacob Brown who started out as number 9.

Steven Schumacher has used 23 players so far in warm-up games and it has been confirmed that Ben Pearson, currently recovering from hamstring surgery, will keep the number 4 top and Ryan Mmaee, on his way back from a knee injury, will stay at 19. Nikola Jojic, who was on the bench for the under-21s last night at Leek Town, will wear 21.
