ABSOLUTELY TRENDING; Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut offers transfer update as Bluebirds kick off tour with big win.

Cardiff are hoping for more signings before the start of the new Championship season

Erol Bulut says Cardiff City’s latest arrivals will get a chance to impress during the club’s pre-season trip to Austria, and insists he’s still confident of making further additions to his squad before the start of the new campaign.

City continued their preparations for the new season with an impressive 3-0 win over Hamburg in Bramburg, with goals coming from Ollie Tanner, Isaak Davies and Callum Robinson.

New signings Calum Chambers and Chris Willock didn’t feature against the German outfit, but Bulut hopes to get a chance to look at the duo soon, with the Bluebirds set to continue their tour with a clash with South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday.

“The new players, we couldn’t use them yet,” Bulut said. “I hope, in the coming games, we are going to use them. And of course, with some new transfers, I think the team will be ready for the season.”

Commenting on the game itself, Bulut added: “In the first 45 minutes, I was really satisfied. We could have scored maybe one or two more goals. Second half, we continued with the same performance, and then after 60 minutes we made some changes.

“We continued with the same shape, to play with quality, to keep the ball and the direction of the game. This was very important. We finalised the chances that we had. A good result, with three goals to nil, this makes us happy.
