West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen should be in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at Euro 2024 this summer.
That is according to talkSPORT duo Scott Minto and Hugh Woozencroft, who have selected the attacker in their preferred Three Lions squad.
Bowen played in the recent friendly clashes with Brazil and Belgium, with VAR denying him a first England goal against the latter.
“I’ve got Jarrod Bowen in mine,” Woozencroft said on talkSPORT (27 March),” with Minto replying: “Yeah me too, sensational in these two games. And I think Gareth said it was the best game he’s ever played for England.”
Woozencroft added: “I also think his form, if he was playing for one of the big clubs in the top six, we would be looking at him through a different lens. He’s gone out there, he’s performed, scored goals, got assists. He’s in good form, and you need to take players in form to tournaments.
Minto concluded: “Do you know what, he’s been in form for the last five or so years, going back to when he was playing for Hull.”
Will Gareth Southgate choose West Ham star Jarrod Bowen this summer?
Southgate has a lot of tough decisions to make over the coming months, with several players set to be disappointed by his final squad.
