65-cap international star who plays in England hints he’d be open to joining West Ham this summer

Well, well, well…it seems as though one player in particular is open to joining West Ham United in the summer.

West Ham boss David Moyes has to make at least four or five new signings in the summer transfer window, in order to complete his squad.

However, as things stand the only rumours doing the rounds are involving players potentially leaving, with the likes of Flynn Downes and Maxwel Cornet being heavily linked with the London Stadium exit door.

One particular area where Moyes needs to strengthen is his central midfield department, with more competition and cover required for Edson AlvarezTomas Soucek and James Ward-Prowse.

It has been claimed that the Hammers boss will not push to make the loan deal of Kalvin Phillips permanent in the summer, so another central midfielder may well be on his way to the London Stadium.

Ideally, Moyes would like to bring in someone who can play in numerous different positions – a versatile midfielder who can operate in the defensive, orthodox or attacking roles.

So with that in mind, the latest comments from one player in particular may well interest Moyes and his staff…
