BREAKING NEWS; Sunderland may regret not appointing 36-year-old as head coach when they had the chance:

Sunderland appointed Michael Beale in December, but they could have had promising Swedish manager Kim Hellberg.

  •  Disappointing season for Black Cats, originally aiming for new heights post-Tony Mowbray’s sacking.
  •  Missed opportunity in not appointing Kim Hellberg as manager, Beale’s term failed to impress fans.
  • Sunderland’s recent home defeat to Leicester City ensured that any slim chance the club had of making the play-offs are likely gone, with just ten games left and talisman Jack Clarke injured.A season that promised so much has fizzled out into nothing for the Black Cats, and they look set for a mid-table finish.

This certainly wasn’t the plan when the club sacked Tony Mowbray on the 4th December, with the club in ninth place, just outside the play-offs. The plan was to appoint a new, younger manager who could take the club to new heights, but that hasn’t panned out for Sunderland.
