USA captain Tyler Adams returns to Bournemouth training as he looks to make his first appearance of 2024… with the midfielder giving Americans welcome boost for Copa America

  • Tyler Adams has returned to training for Bournemouth as he recovers from a hamstring injury – giving a boost to the US men’s national team ahead of the Copa America this summer.

  • Adams, 25, has played just once for the Cherries since joining from Leeds in the summer. He underwent hamstring surgery in October after the same issue cost him the final 14 games of Leeds’ season last year.

  • On Tuesday, though, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola issued a positive update on the midfielder, saying he is now working with the rest of his teammates.

  • ‘Tyler has started training with the group. In the past week he has started training quite normally,’ Iraola said, according to Bournemouth’s official X account.

  • ‘Not everything, but most of the things he does with the group. It is very possible he plays some minutes with the second team, because after almost one year he will need some rhythm.’
