Manchester United need to produce a “big reaction” when they face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, says Harry Maguire.

“He’s a big player for us,” he said, speaking to MUTV after the Fulham defeat. “We worked all week in training, worked on tactics and shape and he’s been the focal point, leading the press.

“We’re playing balls into him, he’s holding it up, he’s scoring goals and then to lose him yesterday (Friday) was really disappointing, not only are you losing Rasmus but Marcus (Rashford) has been playing well off the left and he’s had to go up front. Garna (Alejandro Garnacho) has been on the right and he’s had to go on the left.“You lose that rhythm and I think that showed really in the first 60 minutes of the game when they didn’t make it as frantic as it was in the last 30 minutes.

“So he’s a big player for us and thankfully it’s only a short-term injury and he’ll be back soon. In the short-term, we have to find a solution and we know it will be a tough game in midweek. Our focus is on that one, we’ve got to bounce back and a big reaction is needed.”Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest could be in “hotter water than Everton” over their FFP charge, according to claims made by top sports finance expert Dr Rob Wilson.
