Bournemouth boss has say on Luis Sinisterra as Leeds United winger completes permanent transfer

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is delighted to have secured the services of Luis Sinisterra on a permanent basis

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola praised Luis Sinisterra for “adapting and performing really well” after making a permanent move to the south coast. The Colombia winger signed a permanent deal with the Cherries on Friday, having joined the Premier League club on loan from Leeds United last summer.

Sinisterra has so far played 17 times for Bournemouth in all competitions and Iraola believes the move can only be a positive for the team.

He told a press conference: “It’s good news, obviously. When you make a signing, there is some uncertainty because you know they’re a footballer but not them as a person, you don’t know how they’re going to adapt.

“In this case, he has been adapting very well and performing really well. When you make a signing knowing much more about a player, like we know with Luis, it’s good for the team.”

The Colombia international told the club website: “I’m really happy to make this move. I’m excited to play for Bournemouth for the long term.

“I feel really comfortable here and the fans are really nice. When I meet them in the streets, they show the love.

“I’m really happy here and I’ve settled really well; I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.”

Bournemouth face a league trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday, with only a point separating themselves and Fulham in the table. Iraola’s side have picked up 14 points on the road compared to 13 at home this season and he is pleased with how his side have performed away from home.

“Normally you have more at home; I think we are doing quite well away,” he said. “We are playing well, we are having chances, we are scoring goals. We have not been as good at home, but we don’t change a lot.

“The way we go for the games is pretty similar and we will try to go there and win the game. “If we cannot, they are very good, we will try to get a point, but it’s not like we play differently away.”
