Well, the England international has been the subject of mockery recently after Bayern Munich slipped five points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Kane has never won a trophy throughout his career – as has been well documented – and he is now being described as something of a curse, due to the fact Bayern Munich have won the last 11 Bundesliga titles with relative ease.

Maceri said: “Kane left Tottenham because he never won a cup in his life, he arrives in Germany and after 11 years in a row Bayern doesn’t win the championship because Leverkusen – who have never won it – won.

“In London – in my opinion – they are dying of laughter. Jokes aside, Kane’s numbers and performances are extraordinary. He got the timing wrong.”

The Bayern Munich No.9 has remarkably scored 28 goals in just 29 appearances since moving to the Allianz Arena – while also providing eight assists.

Hard not to feel sorry for Harry Kane

Kane made a tough decision to leave his boyhood club in search of silverware back in August, and also may have given up his best chance of leapfrogging Alan Shearer to become the Premier League’s record goalscorer.

The least the 30-year-old would have expected to win in Germany is a Bundesliga title given Bayern Munich’s stranglehold on the division across the last decade.

Therefore, it would be a cruel development if Kane failed to even secure that trophy – let alone the UEFA Champions League.

Hopefully, the Londoner wins something at Bayern Munich this season, as he is probably kicking himself right now given how much fun those at Tottenham seem to be having under Ange Postecoglou.
