West Ham United book medical for Wes Foderingham with double deal close – Fabrizio Romano
West Ham United have booked a medical for Wes Foderingham while Nathan Trott looks set to join Copenhagen, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer specialist has reported (20 June) that the Hammers have booked medical tests in for next week before a potential move for the 33-year-old.
He has also suggested that Trott is set for a move to Copenhagen with a deal set to be completed this weekend.
Both deals are “all set” ahead of a double goalkeeper transfer for West Ham this summer.
West Ham set to sign Wes Foderingham
Tim Steidten isn’t waiting around to get business done since taking charge of transfers at the London Stadium after David Moyes departed.
The German is clearly keen to provide new head coach Julen Lopetegui with all the tools he requires for his first season with the club.
This began with the signing of Brazilian young talent, Luis Guilherme which has certainly excited Hammers fans.
Every Premier League club really needs three senior goalkeepers throughout a season to combat potential injuries.
With how congested the fixture list is this season, squad depth is important and the Englishman will certainly add that.
Now that Trott is departing, the Hammers needed a new goalkeeper option and the 33-year-old will be a stable option when needed.
Although he didn’t have the best of seasons with Sheffield United, he could prove to be a useful character around the dressing room which is always invaluable.
