BREAKING NEWS; Unai Emery is preparing to send a scathing video message to the players of Aston Villa.

Villa boss Unai Emery plans to watch Saturday’s second-half meltdown against Brentford back multiple times as he urges calm ahead of another big week.

The Champions League chasers conceded three times in nine minutes to blow a two-goal lead against the Bees with Ollie Watkins bagging his second of the game to salvage a point.

Villa now host Lille in the first leg of a Europa Conference League quarter-final on Thursday before visiting Emery’s former club Arsenal on Sunday.

The boss said: “Everybody is upset. But I will work with the players and will tell them how we can continue in our way,

“This is the analysis I want to do, watching the game and watching it one time, second time, third time, fourth time. Trying to share with the players my analysis. We made some not normal mistakes.”

Ollie Watkins accused Villa of lacking a “big team mentality” after they blew a two-goal lead in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Brentford.

Goals from Watkins and Morgan Rogers, the latter in the first-minute of the second half, appeared to have Villa on course for a comfortable win to boost their Champions League aspirations.

But the visiting Bees then struck three times in nine minutes through Zanka, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa to turn the match on its head.

Watkins then equalised for Villa with his 18th league goal of the season but Unai Emery’s team were unable to find a winner.

It was just the second time this season they had dropped points from a winning position and Watkins said: “It’s frustrating. We lacked that big team mentality where they kill games off, .

“I’m not belittling my team. I’m part of it. I feel we need to somehow figure out when we’re 2-0 up how to just shut up shop.
