With seven games to play, City know it’s all in their own hands and Dewsbury-Hall’s 11th goal of the season was a significant moment in their 27th win of the campaign. Building on this success will be key now, the central midfielder insists.

“It feels very good,” Dewsbury-Hall said. “It was a cup final for us, this game. We needed to win it, it’s as simple as that. We showed great mentality after going down 1-0 in the first half. I thought we played really well.

“We scored some great goals and, in the end, it’s a deserved win. That was a great response and it gives us platform to go on and try and get as many wins as possible until the end of the season.

City Back On Track With Norwich Success

Enjoy the best moments from Leicester City’s 3-1 victory over Norwich City on Monday.

“It builds confidence now and we’re going into the next game (vs. Birmingham City on Saturday) raring to go. It’s nice that it’s at home. When the crowd’s going here, it’s great honestly.

“Understandably, they were frustrated in the first half, but in the second half, we were creating chances and getting into their box – and they were getting louder and louder. That just motivates us and gets us that little one per cent of the ball.

“We’re home again on Saturday and hopefully we can put in another good performance.”

Dewsbury-Hall’s first goal since late January was a welcome moment for the Shepshed-based midfielder, who is hoping to have more of a say over the coming run-in. Taking chances has proving difficult for Leicester, but not on Monday.

“It’s been a while!” City’s No.22 added. “It was nice to finish that and pop up with another header. I’m scoring more headers these days then I am with my feet!

“I feel like we did that today and everybody put in a great shift today to get the three points. We just need to keep going our job. We can’t really focus on the other teams.

“It’s nice, if you’re the early kick-off, if you can get a win because the pressure’s off you. The other teams have got tough games, but whatever happens happens. We’ll be focused on the next game and trying to get the three points.”
