Jamie Vardy maps out intention before Leicester City contract expires
Jamie Vardy has 180 goals in 449 appearances for Leicester City and he has no immediate plans to knock his playing days on the head
For the ninth time in his last 11 seasons, Jamie Vardy has struck double figures in a Leicester City shirt – but the Foxes legend has no plans or intentions to wind down despite his age and contract status. Vardy, 37, plundered a brace as part of City’s hammering of Stoke City on Saturday and that took him to ten goals for the season in all competitions.
Vardy’s next appearance, expected to come at Watford this weekend, will be his 450th in a Leicester shirt since arriving for £1m from Fleetwood Town in 2012. In that time, the forward has scored 180 goals and has lifted three pieces of silverware, as well as competing in the Champions League and representing England at major tournaments.
