BREAKING NEWS; Everton new stadium update shared as Jamie Carragher snaps up executive boxes.

Jamie Carragher has already snapped up two hospitality packages ahead of Everton’s new stadium opening, according to The i.

Works has ramped up at the Bramley-Moore Dock venue since the turn of the year, with 30,000 of the 52,000 seats having been installed.

The state-of-the-art ground is set to be completed by December this year and will host its first game in August 2025.

In an exclusive feature for The i’s online edition [19 March], Mark Douglas shared details on some behind-the-scenes aspects as the construction continues.

“Up on floor nine of the city’s sleek Liver Building, i is the first newspaper granted access to the showroom where the club have been doing a very brisk business in hospitality packages,” the report read.

“It is here where Everton’s bespoke scent – they’re looking into putting it in candles to sell at the towering new club store, apparently – is pumped in to prepare for the hard sell.

“But really, they haven’t had to work that hard. Of those who walk through the doors, around 80 per cent have bought packages including Jamie Carragher, who snapped up two for the blue half of his family.”

Everton to move into new stadium in August 2025

Carragher’s split affiliation between Everton and Liverpool is well documented.

The former defender played more than 700 games for Merseyside rivals Liverpool, having grown up supporting the Toffees.

Whether it is Carragher or his family members present, they will no doubt have one of the best views in the house when the stadium opens.

Seemingly with each passing day, new images are shared of the inside and outside of the ground and work is coming along nicely.

With around eight months left to go, it appears that the venue is on course to be complete on time and preparations can then start with regards to moving in.

The big hope, of course, is that this mammoth new ground is the home of Premier League football when it does eventually open, rather than second-tier football. Either way, it is a stadium that will be the envy of supporters up and down the land.

In other Everton news, the Toffees’ stance has been shared following the four-point deduction handed to Nottingham Forest.
