Hutchinson, 20, has since adapted well to life in the Championship with the Tractor Boys.

He hasn’t ruled out the possibility of heading back to Suffolk in some capacity in the next transfer window and has said, as per a report by the East Anglian Daily Times“It’s going to be a difficult one, I don’t know the answer to that. But maybe – I hope so.

“Listen, I can’t tell you where I’m going to play. We’ll see in the summer what the right move is and what the best decision is for myself. I love it here, 100%. I’m glad I came.”

He added: “Look, it will be one of my options, if everyone agrees with it. But I couldn’t give you the right answer now, you’ll just have to wait and see in the summer.”

Ipswich Town loan man shines

Hutchinson has been a useful player for Ipswich this season and has given them more competition and depth going forward.

Their chances of re-signing him are likely to depend on what league they are playing in next term.

Chelsea will want him to be playing at as high a level as possible and if Kieran McKenna’s side get promoted to the Premier League, another move would make more sense than dropping back into the second tier.

The Jamaica international, who has two caps under his belt, played for Charlton Athletic and Arsenal before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2022.

He has since played twice for the Blues’ first-team and was given the green light to head out the exit door on a temporary basis when Ipswich came calling in July last year.

Hutchinson has since made 40 appearances in all competitions for the Tractor Boys and has chipped in with six goals.

He scored twice over the weekend as they battered Sheffield Wednesday 6-0.

McKenna’s men are 3rd in the table and are a point behind both Leeds United and Leicester City with eight matches left to play.

They are back in action after the international break with an away trip to Ewood Park to lock horns with Blackburn Rovers.
