“You’re playing in a packed stadium and for the fans to be singing my name feels like a dream come true,” he said.

“It’s just fantastic to be able to help the boys. We got another result and we’ll see if we can get another on Saturday. When you have a couple of bad seasons, you almost start to doubt yourself and like I say, the boys have been so welcoming that I’ve fitted in so quickly.

“I am enjoying my football and long may it continue. Paul is fixated on books and mentality and it’s a breath of fresh air. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and you can just tell the environment around the training ground that he has created is fantastic. It almost feels like everybody is together.”
