Larry May, Gary Lineker scored one each, sub Jim Melrose with two, a Shrewsbury own goal, adding it all up.

Never to forget of course also the 2-0 win at Loftus Road back in 1974, both goals from a young and talented Joe Waters, as Leicester came ever so close to Wembley under Jimmy Bloomfield, losing to Liverpool in the semi after a replay.

Defeating Mansfield 1-0 in the 1969 quarters, goal scorer, Rod Fern. The fact that Leicester also reached the quarters of the 1968 FA Cup is one easily forgotten, playing Everton at home, defeated 3-1, David Nish the goalscorer.
