Omari Hutchinson has been nominated for the PFA Championship Fans’ Player of the Month for February. 

The Town attacker enjoyed an excellent month, either scoring or assisting in five successive games before being voted the Club’s Player of the Month for his efforts. 

Omari’s month included stoppage time goals in all three of Town’s home games during February, with a late equaliser against West Brom and dramatic winner against Rotherham followed by a late strike to put the gloss on last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Birmingham City. 

The other players nominated are Leeds duo Wilfried Gnonto and Archie Gray, Emil Riis Jakobsen of Preston, Hull’s Jaden Philogene and Josh Sargent of Norwich City.

Hutchinson, who is on loan with the Blues from Chelsea for the season, scored three vital injury time goals, picked up two assists and carried off the club’s Player of the Month gong.

The 20-year-old is up against Leeds pair Wilfried Gnonto and Archie Gray, Preston’s Emil Riis Jakobsen, Jaden Philogene of Hull City and Norwich City’s Josh Sargent for the award.

Ipswich Town‘s Omari Hutchinson has been in great form in recent weeks, and has been a key player for the Tractor Boys so far this season despite not starting every game.

The Chelsea winger joined the Suffolk outfit on loan in the summer, and will remain with the club until the end of the current Championship campaign.

This could see him Hutchinson joining in with Ipswich’s promotion celebrations, as they currently sit third in the table, where they are level on points with Leeds United – who occupy the second automatic promotion spot.

Hutchinson’s contributions, which include five goals and five assists in the Championship so far, have been a big part of their impressive campaign so far under Kieran McKenna, and it is clear why he is attracting interest from clubs for a summer move.
