    It looks set to be an enthralling final few months of the League One season with a number of sides in the division battling it out for the two automatic promotion places, and Derby are hoping their January business will boost their chances of finishing in the top two.

    The signing of Charlton Athletic forward Corey Blackett-Taylor was considered a marquee signing by the East Midlands club following the 26-year-old’s impressive performances at The Valley, which also could now be considered a vital piece of business following confirmation that on-loan Arsenal star Tyreece John-Jules would miss the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury.

    Warne also welcomed Ebou Adams from Championship side Cardiff City for the remainder of the season to bolster their midfield, whilst also able to see Max Bird return to the club after completing a move to Bristol City.

    Their final, and most recent piece of business saw former Stoke City striker Dwight Gayle join Warne’s side after it was confirmed that top scorer James Collins was set to miss the next eight weeks of the season.
